The Central Wisconsin Sarcoma Support Group is affiliated with the American Cancer Society, Sarcoma Alliance, and Sarcoma Foundation of America. We meet in a warm, comfortable, confidential meeting environment at the Hope Lodge in Marshfield on the third Wednesday of each month from 6-7 pm.  If the day or time is bad for you, please use the Info link above to call me or the Contact link to email me.  I will meet with you 'one-on-one' at a time that is more convenient for you.

The 3rd Walk for Sarcoma Awareness Event was held on Saturday, 6/11/2005.  It took the relay team 12 hours and 45 minutes to walk from the Hope Lodge in Marshfield to the Marathon Park in (about 45 miles).  People walked as little as 1 mile or as much as they felt able.  A fund raising event was held at Hanna's Henhouse on County Road P.

We raised $905 this year!
That is more than the first two events combined!

I am thankful for the support received from the communities.  We plan to hold another awareness event in 2006, possibly a biking and walking event.  Please consider supporting us by participating or sponsoring a participant.

Our support group is for all forms of sarcoma; including alveolar soft part sarcoma, angiosarcoma, carcinosarcoma, chondrosarcoma, clear cell sarcoma, dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans,  desmoid tumor, epithelioid sarcoma, Ewing's sarcoma, fibrosarcoma, gliosarcoma, gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST), granulocytic sarcoma, hemangiopericytoma, intimal sarcoma, Kaposi's sarcoma, liposarcoma, leiomyosarcoma, malignant hemangioendothelioma, malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST), malignant fibrous histiocytoma,  myofibrosarcoma, myxofibrosarcoma, neuorectodermal tumor (PNET), rhabdoid tumor, rhabdomyosarcoma, osteosarcoma, reticulum cell sarcoma, sarcoma bone tumors, spindle cell sarcoma, synovial sarcoma, and others.
